What a glorious week it's been! The fantastic weather has brought out the best in our corner of the world – from the breezy walks that make you grateful for every step, to the heartwarming sight of friends catching up over garden gates and children creating magical memories with their grandparents. There's something about these summer days that reminds us why our part of the world truly is the best place to call home.

We were fortunate enough to escape London briefly this week for a wedding at the stunning Swinton Estate up in Yorkshire. If you're ever looking for a destination that showcases the very best of British countryside elegance, I can't recommend it highly enough. The rolling hills, the perfectly manicured grounds, and that unmistakable Yorkshire charm made for an absolutely beautiful celebration in a truly spectacular part of the world.

As we continue to soak up these precious summer days, I hope you're all making the most of the season – whether that's through long walks, spontaneous visits with loved ones, or simply taking a moment to appreciate the wonderful community vibes that surround us.

Families with children aged 0–11 are invited to a fun-packed day at National Play Day 2025, held at Dickerage Park in New Malden. This free event offers a wide range of activities designed to inspire creativity, imagination, and play.

Children will also have the chance to meet local emergency services and take a look around a real fire engine.
