Hello New Malden!
So here we are. The decorations are down, the leftover chocolates are finally finished, and Monday morning arrived with its usual lack of fanfare. Welcome back to reality – or at least, January's version of it.
We know this week feels like a bit of a shock to the system. The gentle drift of the holidays has been replaced by alarm clocks, packed lunches, and the sudden remembering of what day the bins go out. The world expects you to simply resume normal service as though the past two weeks didn't happen.
But here's the thing: you don't have to tackle it all at once.
This week, we're thinking about easy wins. The small things that make the return to routine feel less like a forced march and more like settling back into a rhythm that actually works. A proper coffee on the school run. Ten minutes with the newspaper before the day properly begins. A midweek pause that isn't rushed or guilty, just... there.
January doesn't need to be about dramatic overhauls or punishing resolutions. Sometimes it's just about remembering what helps, what works, and what makes the everyday feel a bit more manageable.

Old London Road Cafe invites everyone to Board Game Night, happening every second Thursday of the month from 8th October 2025 to 31st December 2026 📅. Guests can enjoy drinks 🍷, food 🍔, and friendly competition in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
