Greetings

The days are closing in and the mornings and evenings are getting little cooler. We've been really fortunate this last week or two to enjoy some settled weather (at last) in New Malden before the corns turn brown and the leaves fall to the ground.

We were grateful to get away to Montenegro (first time) for a bit of a family break (sadly without Barnaby). What a beautiful place! Gorgeous scenery, warm and friendly people, great food and great value. Highly recommended! If you were lucky enough to get away we hope you've returned well rested and ready for months ahead.

For those that have stayed local, it's been lovely to catch up with so many of you over the summer. It's been great seeing the kids off school, friends from out of town, brand new babies and people just popping in for a coffee, an ice cream or a bite to eat while watching the day go by.

It's crazy to think how quickly the year has gone. We're continuing to improve the place. Our lovely traditional blind from Deans Blinds was installed yesterday finally completing our shop front. We love it. Hope you do too.

Although we're saying goodbye to summer there's a lot to look forward to in the lead up to the end of the year. We're actually quite exicited and looking forward to autumn with it's cosy nights, gatherings with family and friends, Halloween, fireworks and (shhh)Christmas!

Gelato Quest!

Thank you everyone who participated in Barnaby's free ice cream treasure hunt (now known as Gelato Quest!) over the summer.

Barnaby had so much fun making the videos and it was a real thrill for us to see how excited New Maldeners were rustling around hedgerows, scaling climbing frames and probing the nooks and crannies of our little corner of London in the race for free ice cream!
